May 30, 2012 ~ Days 105-117


So much has changed since the last post.  Most of the cabinets are in.  Some need to be remade due to some measurement issues.  The bathrooms and bedrooms have been painted.  Our bathroom is almost completed.  The granite went in today!  The bathroom vanities are here and will be installed tomorrow or Friday.

May 7, 2012 ~ Day 104 

They started hanging the cabinets today.  They look great.  Some issues with measuring-easily fixed so far.  The master bath is almost completely finished, tile wise.  He needs to finish the shower floor then he can grout everything.  The hardwood floors were completed today as well.  Here are some pictures of the painted rooms, kitchen and bathroom.

May 6, 2012 ~ Days 101-103

The kitchen cabinets have been delivered!  They will be installed this week.  They are beautiful.  I cannot wait to see them up.  The painting is almost finished.  The appliances will come next week as well.  Granite will be a few more weeks...

May 1, 2012 ~ Days 85-100

When we look around there are still a lot of things that need to be completed, inside and out.  Once the painting is finished, the kitchen cabinets can go in and then it all falls into place from there.  The floors are down and they are beautiful.  Here are a few pics.

Here are the paint colors...we have narrowed it down to #2...some rooms have been primed.  It is looking so open and bright on the first floor now.  

March 29, 2012 ~ Days 67 - 84

So much has changed around the house. Spring like weather came and time flew. Baseball and softball have us very busy. Too much to be able to slow down. I cannot believe it has been a full month since I last posted pictures. I will post as many as I can tonight. The kitchen cabinets are in the warehouse. Our flooring has been ordered. One bathroom is almost completely finished and is functional. I now have a better place to bathe Daisy. The hand held shower head makes it so convenient! Our columns are up. Old flooring/rugs have been ripped up. I know it will all fall into place very fast. Here are some of the latest pictures:

My bathtub is here...not hooked up yet. The washer and dryer are hooked up!!

They were put in on Tuesday. I have done 10 loads already.

I am washing anything that is not nailed down!! It is so great having them~

I don't even care when the project is going to be done now.

February 27, 2012 ~ Days 61-66

Slow progress these past few days. The heating is now all hooked up. No more temporary lines running through the kitchen ceiling. The kids' bathroom is completely tiled. As soon as the fixtures are in, they will be installed and we will have a second functioning bathroom! The carpenters have been working on the stairs. They have placed all new treads and risers and are now putting up the new posts and spindles.

February 16, 2012 ~ A Day Away

We had to get out of that 'back porch room'. We took the kids to Philly 2 weekends ago and had a great time. We only went overnight. We walked around, went to the Reading Terminal Market and spent some time at Dave and Busters, of course. They loved it. We went to the Basilica on Sunday and heard a beautiful choir from the Naval Academy in Annapolis. We will need to do this again soon.
